Local authority in Merseyside currently requires a senior project manager for an initial period of three months. ( likely to be much longer).
Purpose of the role:
We require an experienced senior project manager to develop the pipeline for the 2026 annual programme of improvement for primary schools.
The current annual programme comprises approximately 20 projects with a total value of circa £4m and involves a range of schemes including design and refurbishment of internal spaces, services replacement, external repairs, extensions.
This role will manage 1 FTE Senior PM and the term consultancy contract.
Essential knowledge and skills
* Built environment qualification (eg. architect/technician/building services engineer/building surveyor)
* Construction industry Project Management qualification. Eg RICS
* Highly effective communicator, positivity and flexibility
* Track record of delivery
* Experienced in education projects and delivering within critical timescales

Understanding of public sector processes, DfE funding and Building Bulletins
£475 a day (Inside)
Hybrid working 2-3 split
