Responsibilities
 * Manage delivery of safe, effective and efficient pharmacy and medicines management services to patients and service users, develop professional relationships, and manage workload of pharmacy staff.
 * Provide support for delivery and development of pharmacy services, including involvement in research and audit.
 * Maintain and develop a portfolio of personal clinical activity at a senior pharmacist level.
 * Provide expert advice in specialist field to all members of the directorate, the Trust and the wider health economy.
 * Employ models of practice recognising patient and carer needs, embedding risk minimisation and patient safety principles.
 * Supervise, support and develop junior pharmacists, pre‑registration pharmacists and other Trust personnel.
 * Monitor prescribing and medicines use of other healthcare providers, ensuring safe and effective prescriptions, resolving local prescribing issues and delivering education/training.
 * Plan and deliver safe, effective clinical pharmacy services to a designated patient group.
 * Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy and medicine management services, represent the directorate at specialty meetings and provide specialist advice to all levels.
 * Work closely with patients and healthcare professionals, including consultant staff and Care Group leads, to align services with patient priorities.
 * Liaise with pharmacy teams, healthcare professionals and agencies within and outside the Trust on medicine management issues.
 * Influence local practice to promote safe medication use, patient safety, good prescribing practice and risk minimisation.
 * Contribute to development and planning of the dermatology pharmacy service and support senior pharmacy managers and the Dermatology Leadership Team in strategic planning and medicines management strategy.
