Role Title: Employability Mentor
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Full time: Fixed term - 31st July 2026
Salary: £39,442 - £43,029 (this is the full time salary, salary will be pro rata depending on working pattern)
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Employability Mentor to join the Jobs Growth Wales + team at Coleg Cambria.
The Employability Mentor will be required to administer the Jobs Growth Wales+ Programme in accordance with the programme specification prescribed. They will work with colleagues to establish placements for trainees and ensure that effective training programmes are introduced, and monitored to enable candidates to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
The Employability Mentor will support learners through mentoring, coaching, presentation, pastoral support, demonstration and instruction. They will equip learners with the fundamental employability skills required to secure placement opportunities or progression into full time education or employment.
Essential Requirements
1. Educated to a minimum Level 4 qualification
2. Holds a TAQA 3 Qualification
3. Previous experience of working with the client group NEETs
4. Previous experience of supporting learners in a work based environment
5. Previous experience of effective classroom management
6. Previous experience of assessing qualifications
7. Previous experience of working with appropriate key stakeholders
8. Relevant experience of pastoral support
9. Effective and successful management of time and resource to meet challenging targets
10. Promoting and implementing healthy and safe practices
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position
