Position Purpose:
Contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of clinical and industrial waste.
Work as part of the Transportation team to provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with the EU Working Time Directive (EU hours) and ADR Transportation Regulations.
Support Service Managers and Service Coordinators daily; work shifts any 5 days out of 7, including holidays when required.
Key Job Activities:
* Execute daily schedules with agreed routes and timings.
* Complete documentation related to drivers’ hours, WTD, and legislation.
* Ensure compliance with Road Traffic Act, vehicle regulations, driver’s hours, digital Tachograph records, weight, and speed limits.
* Adhere to ADR/hazardous goods legislation.
* Follow company standard operating procedures.
* Act as a courteous customer contact at delivery points.
* Attend work instructions, training, and meetings as required.
* Perform ad-hoc duties and be flexible with working times and shifts.
* Follow management requests, operate professionally, report incidents, and complete documentation.
* Perform vehicle checks before use and report defects.
Education:
High School or equivalent (e.g., GCSE)
Experience (EMEAA):
Preferred: previous driving experience.
Required: LGV Class 2 Licence, Driver CPC
Preferred: ADR Training.
