Position: ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
The Additive Manufacturing Engineer will have practical, hands-on experience in developing and implementing process strategies, managing resources, optimizing processes, designing 3D printable products, and maintaining documentation within an AS9100 continuous improvement culture.
Responsibilities:
1. Create efficient STL 3D print files.
2. Develop manufacturing-ready 3D printing processes.
3. Create new products using composites, textiles, coatings, foams, and additive manufacturing technologies.
4. Test newly created products and raw materials.
5. Document processing conditions, test results, and critical-to-quality data.
6. Develop SOPs, work instructions, etc., for AM processes.
7. Generate optimized build files for high-quality, consistent parts.
8. Monitor builds on a varying schedule.
9. Assist in Quality System audits.
10. Research new 3D printable materials for technical products.
Qualifications:
Skills:
* Knowledge of all 3D printing processes and emerging technologies.
* Expertise in 3D slicing.
* Knowledge of materials testing equipment.
* Eagerness to learn advanced composites, textiles, and AM processes.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong critical-thinking and teamwork skills.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Ability to create and interpret 3D models and convert them into print files.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant materials science discipline from an accredited institution.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience.
