Senior Solution Success Consultant
The Senior Solution Success Consultant is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for ensuring successful solution definition, implementation readiness, and adoption across complex client engagements. This role combines consultative expertise, cross-functional leadership, and elevated ownership to drive client value and internal alignment across all global regions. Solution Consultants are expected to serve as Subject Matter Experts on IDeaS solutions, especially within complex client engagement and implementation projects. Senior Consultants serve as trusted advisors in both pre‑sale and post‑sale phases; they shape complex solution definitions, anticipate and mitigate risk, strengthen delivery consistency, and mentor junior Solution Success Consultants to raise team capability. This role is elevated above the Solution Success Consultant level but does not include the enterprise escalation ownership responsibilities of the Senior SSC – Enterprise Projects & Escalation role.
Responsibilities
Lead Complex Solution Definition & Activation
* Partner with Sales/IDeaS Account Management and Solution Engineering to define solution scope, solution design requirements, and solution phasing risks during pre‑sale discovery.
* Convert pre‑sale solution definitions into actionable solution phasing packages with clear assumptions, risk mitigation strategies, and success criteria.
* Guide clients through solution design choices, expectation‑setting, and practical application of IDeaS solutions.
* Develop clear phased approach to overall solution evolution including integration certification, custom development, onward distribution and future solution enhancements based on client systems or operational readiness.
* Develop pilot success criteria, support measurement, and partner with Project/Service Delivery teams to ensure structured and successful activation.
* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in an ongoing manner for complex, highly‑visible clients including Enterprise and Strategic accounts solution design and evolution.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Risk Management
* Lead cross‑functional alignment with Product, Technology, Project Management, Training, and Support teams.
* Identify, track, and proactively manage risks across the solution lifecycle.
* Support creation and refinement of Statements of Work for complex client needs.
* Serve as a Solution Success SME in strategic workstreams, internal planning forums, and client briefings.
* Ensure cross‑functional teams, internally and externally, understand specific solution impacts related to inbound data structure and validation, optimization and analytics, and outbound distribution of RMS outputs.
Team Acceleration & Mentorship (Non‑Managerial Leadership)
* Mentor Solution Success Consultants on discovery, solution design, requirements quality, and consultative communication.
* Review requirements and solution definitions authored by SSCs to ensure consistency and quality.
* Lead knowledge‑sharing sessions on complex solution areas (integrations, data flows, multi‑product environments).
* Reinforce best practices through role‑modeling of preparation, communication, and cross‑functional leadership.
Client Value & Adoption Leadership
* Guide clients in applying IDeaS solutions to meet business goals.
* Ensure alignment on success measurement and support sustained adoption practices.
* Communicate solution rationale, risks, and decisions in clear, structured, executive‑ready formats.
Experience & Qualifications
* 5+ years in hospitality, distribution, revenue management, or complex SaaS implementation roles.
* Strong understanding of RMS, PMS, CRS, channel management, distribution systems, and HTNG and API integration/data flow concepts.
* Ability to collect and document complex design and business requirements, frame risks, design solutions, and communicate effectively with executive and technical audiences.
* Comfortable leading outcomes without authority, coordinating effectively across multiple teams.
* Strong problem‑solving, prioritization, decision‑making, and accountability.
* Travel up to ~60% depending on business need.
* Preferred: Knowledge of IDeaS products, experience with global hotel groups, multilingual ability.
* Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the education requirement stated above.
