Sous Chef, Blackpool
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join a well-established and busy hotel kitchen on a permanent, full-time basis. We are looking for someone with a passion for high-quality food and strong leadership skills to help drive kitchen operations and support the Head Chef.
Role Overview:As Sous Chef, you’ll be a key part of the kitchen team, helping to deliver consistently high standards across breakfast, lunch, dinner in addition to C&B. You’ll lead by example, support junior team members and take charge in the Head Chef’s absence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the day-to-day management of the kitchen
* Supervising food preparation and service
* Maintaining food quality, presentation, and portion control
* Supporting with menu planning and development
* Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
* Ensuring strict compliance with hygiene and safety regulations
* Managing stock levels and ordering as required
What We’re Looking For:
1. Minimum of 7 years' solid kitchen experience, with a clear progression through roles since college or formal training
2. Proven banqueting experience, ideally in operations that regularly cater for 100+ guests
