Finance Manager (Part-Time)
Location: Onsite (In Person)
Hours: 25 per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 FTE (pro-rata)
Job Purpose
Our client is seeking a part-time Finance Manager to oversee the smooth and accurate running of day-to-day finance and accounting operations across multiple entities within their group. Working closely with a full-time Finance Coordinator and an outsourced finance team, you will maintain robust financial processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide insights that support key business decisions.
This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily finance operations, including invoices, receipts, payments, and credit card transactions.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports, reconciliations, and respond to business queries.
Generate sales invoices and manage intercompany recharges.
Perform regular bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate sales and purchase ledgers.
Support preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, and annual budgets.
Requirements
Qualifications
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) required.
Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business management (desirable).
Experience
Proven bookkeeping and management accounts experience.
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and VAT compliance.
Proficiency with Xero or similar accounting software, plus advanced Excel skills.
Familiarity with statutory accounts, payroll processes, and UK financial/regulatory compliance (desirable).
Demonstrated ability to manage, develop, and oversee a finance function or team.
