As Facilities Team Leader, you will lead a diverse team delivering essential services across 2 hospitals sites. From portering, catering, cleaning and waste management, your leadership will ensure a smooth and safe environment for colleagues, patients and visitors.
You will be the first line of management, coordinating rotas, resources and service standards while fostering a culture of professionalism and care.
This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You will be empowered to make decisions, respond to incidents, and drive service improvements. Your ability to plan, delegate and motivate will be key to maintaining high standards and supporting both colleagues and patients. You will play a vital role in health and safety and ensure compliance and readiness at all times.

Main duties of the job
Oversee and allocate daily workloads for the Facilities Team across two sites. Ensure compliance with NHS National Cleaning Standards, Better Hospital Food programme and Trust policies. Manage rotas and sickness cover using E‑roster. Monitor cleanliness audits, patient surveys and stock control. Liaise with hospital colleagues, contractors and external agencies to maintain high standards. Support recruitment, training and performance management of the Facilities Team.

Qualifications
* Maths
* Evidence of a good standard of literacy, English language skills
* Vocational level 3 qualification appropriate to the post, or working towards within an agreed timescale
* Understanding of infection control procedures
* Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
* Knowledge of COSHH
* Knowledge of HACCP
Experience
* Experience in working with multi‑disciplinary teams
* Significant supervisory management experience
* A proven employment history in cleaning and or catering
* Understanding of infection control procedures
