Overview
Lecturer in Welding – Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a full-time Lecturer in Welding to work at an exceptional college in central Hull. Starting ASAP and initially until 24 October, this cover role may extend beyond the initial period as it covers an absence. Pay is between £20 and £40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours are 8:30–16:00, five days per week. There may be potential for part-time work (2–4 days per week encouraged to apply).
Responsibilities
* Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC Welding to students.
* Provide expert guidance to students through their BTEC and support successful engagement with the course.
* Provide planning and marking for the role; planning requirements will be minimal due to available resources.
Qualifications
* Has a PGCE/QTS/Cert Ed.
* Experience teaching Welding (ideal).
* Experience working within UK schools (desirable).
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
* CV must cover the full CV history.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
Location and Contract Details
This school is in central Hull with a strong vocational studies profile. You will join a supportive Construction/Welding department and work with a department leader who will assist with the transition into the college.
Contract details: full-time temporary position, 8:30–16:00, five days per week. Initial period to 24 October with potential extension beyond that date.
