IEDScout, TMW Test Harness Experience in electrical design of substation secondary systems is a benefit Knowing electro-technical standards is a benefit Fluent written and oral skills in English; other languages are benefit Ability to travel Key Individual Accountabilities: System Design and Architecture: Create and refine the architecture for SCADA systems tailored to STATCOM projects.
Additionally, develop user-friendly HMIs for real-time monitoring and control of STATCOM systems and select and design appropriate communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS, DNP3, IEC 61850) for data exchange.
Implementation and Integration: Oversee the installation and commissioning of SCADA/HMI systems in STATCOM projects and ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with existing infrastructure and other control systems.Conduct rigorous testing (functional and performance testing) to validate system reliability and performance.
Lead and review the design, specifications and team deliverables.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to SCADA, HMI, and communication systems promptly.
Manage system updates, patches, and upgrades to enhance functionality and security.
Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of SCADA/HMI systems.
Ensure that all systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC 62351).
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to innovate and enhance system capabilities.
