Brief Description
We are recruiting a Sourcing Specialist to manage sourcing activities for medium cost and business risk opportunities, deliver commercial and contractual value aligned with GBRX Savings targets, and drive continuous improvement to enhance customer experience.
About The Role
Responsibilities include managing sourcing for medium‑cost opportunities, collaborating with customers and stakeholders, creating and delivering commercial value, developing sourcing aligned continuous improvement activities, and ensuring alignment with savings targets.
What we need from you
* Education to a Business or Economics degree standard or equivalent business experience
* Demonstrable sourcing experience with a track record of savings delivery
* Negotiation and dispute resolution skills
* Contract law and financial management experience
* Ability to drive value from sourcing opportunities
* Experience with agile cross‑functional collaborative working methods
* Political awareness and ability to influence at an executive level
* Problem‑solving complex sourcing challenges
* Completer‑finisher mindset
Other Desirable Skills & Experience
* Knowledge of the UK Rail industry, including procurement processes in a reclassified environment
* Experience with agile cross‑functional collaborative working methods
