Job Overview
The Ancillary team at Pinderfields Hospital provides Portering and linen services at our acute hospital sites in Wakefield, Dewsbury and Pontefract. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Relief Logistics Porter to join the trust and become part of our busy team.
Full‑time position – 37.5 hours per week. The Relief Porter will work 5 days over 7 on a 23‑week rota, as part of the operational portering team delivering essential items between wards and departments. The post holder will ensure that documents and items are delivered to and collected from wards and departments in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
* Deliver documents and items to and from wards and departments promptly and efficiently.
* Carry out basic portering tasks and other duties as required.
* Respond to the service’s requirements, including routine planned tasks or immediate requests to meet the trust’s demands.
* Provide courteous and caring service to patients and all service users.
