Quality Improvement Technician
Location: East/Central Birmingham
Employment type: Permanent – Full-Time – Day Shifts
Salary
1. £14.02 per hour (first 6 months)
2. £14.27 per hour (after 6 months)
3. Weekly pay
4. 6-month probation period
Working Hours
39 hours per week (day shift):
5. Monday-Tuesday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
6. Wednesday-Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
7. Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm
The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing distribution business, is seeking a Quality Improvement Technician to join their team at a busy warehouse operation in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality to play a key role in maintaining standards, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
8. Conduct quality inspections, including goods-in checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
9. Record, analyse, and report inspection outcomes to management
10. Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
11. Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and maintain accurate records
12. Carry out Random Quality Checks (RQC’s) across products
13. Support internal audits, calibration activities, and document control
14. Ensure quality documentation is up to date and compliant with company procedures
15. Process product returns using internal systems
16. Assist in preparation for external audits and support training where required
17. Develop and maintain strong product knowledge
18. Promote a “Right First-Time” culture across the warehouse

About You
29. Previous experience in a quality, warehouse, or distribution environment is desirable
30. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
31. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
32. Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
33. Confident in handling documentation and following structured processes
