Job Description

Opportunity | Human Resources Advisor (Employee Relations)

Organisation | Arts & Culture

Location | London

Hybrid Role | Blended office and remote working

Offer | £39,000 – £43,000 + benefits

A well-established creative organisation is looking to bring in a People & Culture Advisor to support its growing team. This is a hands-on HR role with a strong focus on employee relations, where you’ll play an important part in guiding managers through day-to-day people challenges and more complex casework. You’ll be stepping into a position where you’re trusted to manage your own workload, provide clear and practical advice, and help maintain a positive and compliant working environment across the business. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys balancing operational HR duties with more advisory-based support.

Your Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports to support compliance and decision making

Provide HR guidance to managers and employees, acting as a go-to for day-to-day people queries

Review and refine internal policies to ensure they remain up to date and aligned with current legislation

Support onboarding, training, and wider people-focused activities

Take the lead on employee relations matters, overseeing cases through to resolution

Assist with wider HR initiatives aimed at improving processes and employee experience

Support managers in handling performance, absence, and conduct-related issues confidently and fairly

What We’re Looking For:

Clear and professional communication style with a practical mindset

Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision

Experience working in a generalist HR role at Advisor level

Comfortable building relationships and influencing stakeholders across different teams

Strong understanding of employee relations processes and confidence managing cases independently

Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law

High level of organisation and strong attention to detail

Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle within a business environment

CIPD qualification or similar

Background in arts, culture, or not-for-profit environments

Well suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with managers, and being involved in a wide range of HR activity in a collaborative setting
