Overview
Experienced Staff Nurse – Emergency Department position at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based in East London. You will join a high-performing ED team that engages in patient flow and delivers care in a setting recognised for an OUTSTANDING CQC rating.
The department is seeking Experienced Registered Nurses who have completed their preceptorship. A&E experience is desirable but not essential. We are looking for enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated nurses with excellent communication skills and a willingness to take on challenges. You will be supported by a dedicated team of practice development nurses, senior nurses and a strong education ethos. A key career pathway and emergency nursing specialty training are available, with fast tracking to an A&E course dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
* The post holder will practice within a team of nursing staff, and have responsibility for a group of patients, assessing, prioritising, planning, implementing and evaluating their care needs.
* You will deliver a high standard of individualised nursing care based on current evidence, you will not require direct supervision, and at times will coordinate an area, while teaching and supervising junior qualified and unqualified staff.
* You will join a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high standards of care in a diverse community. Applicants must enjoy a fast-paced acute environment and have a keen interest in delivering excellence in holistic care.

Skills/Abilities
* Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in an A&E setting.
* Ability to assess patients, and to develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care.
* Effective oral and written communication in line with NMC Code.
Experience
* Essential: Nursing in an Emergency Department or experience within an acute setting
* Desirable: Emergency Department experience
