We are working with a well-established automotive business to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team in Northallerton. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanic or technician to work with modern diagnostic technology, carry out servicing, repairs, and vehicle health checks, and contribute to a high-performing aftersales operation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic tools and technology
2. Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
3. Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
4. Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults, including basic diagnostics
5. Complete warranty repairs and ensure accurate documentation is maintained
6. Fit accessories and carry out minor repairs where required
7. Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure quality standards are met
8. Complete all job cards, service records, and associated paperwork accurately
9. Work collaboratively with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and high service standards
Requirements
10. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
11. Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic (main dealer or independent garage)
12. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
13. Ability to work to manufacturer and industry standards
14. Full UK driving licence
15. Self-motivated with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Additional Information:
Salary: OTE up to £50,000+ (Uncapped)
Basic salary: £28,000 – £43,000 (depending on qualifications & experience)
Plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus + Time Saved Bonus Scheme
Working hours: 40 hours between Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm
