You’ll be paid a salary of up to £47,000 per annum, you’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Ensure all vehicles are maintained to legal and operational standards Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules Oversee defect reporting, rectification, and follow-up processes Liaise with internal workshops and external maintenance providers Conduct technical assessments and inspections of fleet vehicles Support procurement and specification of new vehicles and equipment
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Proven experience in fleet engineering or vehicle compliance management
* Strong mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles (HGVs, LGVs)
* Relevant engineering or transport qualifications IRTEC, CPC, Transport Manager CPC)
* Familiarity with compliance systems and matrix management tools Tachograph analysis, driver CPC tracking, vehicle defect reporting)
* Excellent understanding of UK transport legislation and vehicle safety standards
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
