Overview
We are looking to recruit a permanent, full time (37hrs) Social Worker to join our Mental Health Services for Older People Team within Sedgefield Locality Team. As a Social Worker within the Mental Health Services, you will work with older people with mental health needs. You will work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team, including Community Psychiatric Nurses, Medical staff, Occupational Therapists and Support Workers. You will be able to work to a hybrid model working pattern and we encourage new working practices which will continue to be more flexible, dynamic, agile and efficient, utilising technology in our work wherever possible. It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience of working within Adult Social Care, together with an up-to-date knowledge of multi-agency working and the associated adult care agenda.
Responsibilities
Work with older people with mental health needs as part of the Mental Health Services for Older People team. Collaborate within a Multi-Disciplinary Team (including Community Psychiatric Nurses, Medical staff, Occupational Therapists and Support Workers). Contribute to flexible and innovative working practices, utilising technology where possible.
Qualifications
* Degree in SW, Dip SW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent, plus Social Work England registration (or be applying for registration).
* Willingness to undertake AMHP training and to act on the AMHP rota when warranted.
* Fluency in English (customer facing role; ability to speak fluent English). This is a requirement under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
