Job Description Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role This is great opportunity to join Eurofins Food Testing Microbiology laboratory in Needham Market. The purpose of this role is to complete, to the required quality standards, the analysis of food samples for a given method using laboratory techniques. Further, assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory. Please note this is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00. Full training for this role is provided, laboratory experience is not essential. Undertaking all tasks within the main laboratory appropriate to the level of training given to you by team leaders and management Registration, preparation, and analysis of food samples as required. Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day Maintain turnaround time at >99%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved. Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained. Provide a high level of internal and external customer care. Responsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy manner with due attention to the careful maintenance of all laboratory fittings and equipment. Ensure personal protective clothing equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy. Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement. Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Manual in order to ensure compliance at all times with the policies, procedures and associated documents which are referred to in the manual. To assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the UKAS accreditation standard. A flexible approach to work will be required to assist other departments as and when required. Assist with continuous improvement within the microbiology department.
