Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented IT Support Engineer to join our client's friendly and supportive team near Hilton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid technical foundation who is looking to grow their skills in a dynamic environment, providing a mix of 1st and 2nd line support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1st and 2nd line support to business clients.
2. Resolve a high volume of tickets daily (typically 20+ per day) via the helpdesk system.
3. Use and manage a ticketing system to track and document support requests (ticketing experience is essential).
4. Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Windows 10/11.
5. Perform basic network tasks including DNS, DHCP, VPN configuration, routers, and firewalls.
6. Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, and phone systems.
7. Assist senior engineers with IT infrastructure projects and client rollouts.
8. Maintain accurate records and meet service level deadlines.
Candidate Requirements:
9. Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally within an MSP or commercial environment.
10. Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and related applications.
11. Basic knowledge of networking and connectivity.
12. Familiarity with backup and security tools.
13. Ability to manage and prioritise a busy support queue efficiently.
14. Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude.
15. Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and adapt to new technologies.
Desirable Experience:
16. Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or Azure AD.
17. Familiarity with VoIP or telecoms systems.
18. Understanding of Cyber Essentials and IT security standards.
