Job Description
An established and well-respected Scottish food wholesaler is looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager (Area Sales Manager) to join the team and drive growth across Scotland.
This is a true field sales role, giving you full ownership of your territory. You’ll be managing existing trade accounts while actively winning new business, building strong relationships, and representing a high-quality product range.
You’ll have real autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a close-knit, growing business.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing and growing a portfolio of existing trade accounts
* Winning new business through proactive prospecting and networking
* Presenting and promoting a diverse product range, including new and seasonal lines
* Achieving sales targets and contributing to overall business growth
* Gathering market intelligence (customers, competitors, product opportunities)
* Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in field sales or account management
* Background in food, FMCG, wholesale, or hospitality preferred
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your own territory
* Genuine interest in food, particularly speciality or artisan products
* Full, clean UK driving licence
