Join the team delivering Sizewell C, one of the UK’s largest and most important low-carbon infrastructure projects. As Programme Controls Manager within the Civils Works Programme (CWP), you’ll help shape a multi-billion-pound mega-project that will power 6 million homes and support the UK’s Net Zero goals.
The Role
You will lead and own Project Controls across one or more major sub-programmes (Earthworks, Marine & Tunnels, Main Civils, Roads & Networks) within the Civils Works Alliance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a multidisciplinary Project Controls team (Schedule, Cost, Risk, Change, Reporting & Insights).
* Implementing best-practice integrated project controls across cost, schedule, risk, change and reporting.
* Ensuring high-quality performance data and on-time month-end reporting.
* Providing assurance and challenge to Alliance partners and supply chain.
* Driving digital innovation to support “Digital by Default” project controls.
* Supporting and deputising for the Head of Civils Works PMO when required.
* Leading budget planning, schedule deep-dives, EAC updates and PMO-led activities.
* Coaching and developing senior Project Controls professionals.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience as a senior Project Controls leader on major infrastructure programmes.
* Strong background across cost, schedule, estimating, change and risk.
* Expert understanding of earned value analysis.
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix environment.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
* Degree (or equivalent) in project management, engineering, finance, construction, or similar.
Desirable:
Professional memberships (AACE, PMI, APM), experience with Power BI and major controls systems, NEC/FIDIC contract knowledge, nuclear or highly regulated sector experience.
