At Bright Futures, we believe every person with autism or a learning disability deserves the chance to thrive. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our specialist home in Halton, Liverpool, to provide high-quality care and life-enriching opportunities to the people we support. Job Role Our Hale Village home is a modern new-build property with easy access to local parks, green spaces, community routes and small village amenities. The surrounding area provides a peaceful backdrop, while still being close to shops, walking paths and public transport links. We currently support two individuals with varied needs, including one person with cerebral palsy who requires personalised, consistent support. Staff play an important role in helping each individual feel safe, settled and comfortable through the night, encouraging engagement in meaningful activities during the day and maintaining clear, accurate records. The focus is on dignity, reassurance and maintaining a warm, supportive environment. We’re looking for compassionate, active and reliable people who bring patience, energy and a calm approach to their work. Someone who is adaptable, resilient and confident supporting individuals with specific physical needs will thrive here. A positive attitude, willingness to get involved and commitment to high-quality person-centred support are essential. As a Support Worker, you will be a key part of a young person or adult’s support team, listening to their wishes, planning meaningful activities, championing their communication goals and keeping meticulous records. You will help to create a warm, stimulating environment whilst working a mix of day shifts and sleeps to meet individual needs. Responsibilities Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs Build trusting relationships and support emotional and behavioural needs using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication, and household tasks Promote independence and choice, encouraging the people we support to make their own decisions wherever possible Support with day-to-day activities to ensure the people we support make the most of every opportunity What we’re looking for There are no formal qualifications required for this role, but we are looking for an individual that is: Passionate about person-centred care Resilient and tenacious Positive and proactive Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn Strong teamwork and communication skills Experience in care is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. Full UK Driving Licence is advantageous.
