Our client, a leading Trade Association based in Southwark, Central London, is seeking a Head of Membership Engagement to join their team.

The Role of Head of Membership Engagement
Working under the direction of the Executive Director, the postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering membership engagement, recruitment, and retention strategies to ensure the organisation continues to:
* Deliver excellent support to members
* Ensure retention of current members
* Increase recruitment of new members
Duties and Responsibilities
* Review current approach to membership engagement, recruitment, and retention; devise strategies to formalise and strengthen activities in these areas
* Build and sustain strong relationships with members at a senior level
* Identify prospective companies for membership
* Implement a membership growth strategy targeting prospective members across the UK, aiming for annual growth in all segments
* Engage with existing and prospective members at CEO/exec level
* Communicate benefits of membership to current and potential members
* Respond to queries about member benefits
* Develop new processes and systems to enhance member experience
* Gather and act on member feedback through surveys and other channels
* Manage new membership applications and renewals, coordinating with the Finance Director on membership rates and payments
* Oversee administration of member meetings, including minute-taking and action follow-up
* Promote member activities via website, communications, and resources
Person Specification – Knowledge and Experience
* Significant experience in growing membership and managing membership services in similar organisations
* Experience in developing administrative processes
* Strategic planning and business development skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at executive level
* Experience managing CRM databases
The role requires good networking and team-working skills across the organisation. While primarily based in London, attendance at events and meetings across England and Wales is expected.
