Job Title: Engineering Lead – Capital Projects (Remote, UK)
Contract Type: 12 Months
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join a major capital project focused on delivering world-class catalyst manufacturing facilities. This is a remote role with approximately 25% travel to UK sites including Chilton, Clitheroe and Glasgow.
Responsibilities
* Lead the client-side engineering team for Stream 1 of a large-scale manufacturing project
* Coordinate engineering deliverables between internal stakeholders and the EPCM contractor
* Ensure compliance with technical safety standards and project specifications
* Manage design reviews, RFIs, hazard studies, and technical documentation
* Support recruitment and development of the engineering team
Qualifications
* Degree-qualified engineer with chartered status preferred
* 5–10 years’ experience in engineering leadership roles
* Strong background in chemical plant design and capital project delivery
* Experience working with EPCM partners and high-hazard (COMAH) environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
