Are you an experienced, fully qualified primary teacher who thrives on making a real impact in the classroom? Do you value collaboration, shared responsibility, and being part of a supportive teaching team?
This welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in the Pontefract area is seeking a strong Year 4/5 teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time basis, working until at least the end of the summer term.
You will be joining a team of three teachers, working collaboratively across the year group. Planning is shared equally, offering a balanced workload and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality teaching.
This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who brings confidence, consistency, and proven classroom impact, while valuing teamwork and shared best practice.
The Role
* Full-time teaching responsibility in a mixed Year 4/5 class
* Working as part of a team of three teachers within the year group
* Shared planning responsibility, with planning equally divided across the team
* Delivering high-quality teaching and assessment in line with the National Curriculum
* Creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborating closely with colleagues and school leaders
* Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress, and attainment
Who We’re Looking For
This position requires experience. The successful candidate will be:
* Fully qualified (QTS essential)
* An experienced KS2 teacher with a strong track record
* Confident stepping into a class and making an immediate impact
* Strong in behaviour management, organisation, and classroom presence
* Comfortable working collaboratively and contributing to shared planning
* Professional, reliable, and committed through to at least the summer holidays
* Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning every day
This role may be suitable for ECTs; however, the school is primarily seeking a teacher who can hit the ground running.
