We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire
Working Hours: We have a varied caseload, and the role includes general nursing duties, anaesthesia, radiology, ultrasonography, and hospital inpatient care as we are a 24-hour emergency care provider. The role is a 30-hour week over 4 days with 6-8 hour shifts, 1 in 5 weekends Saturday and Sunday with TOIL for weekends worked. There is no out-of-hours work as we have a dedicated night team who cover this. Bank holidays are on a rota basis.
Salary: Up to £33,000 FTE
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
* Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
* Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
* Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
* Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
* Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
