 
        
        My client, one of the country’s most established B2B trade distributor of professional/commercial audio, lighting, video, and special effects are looking for an Internal Technical Salesperson. This is an office-based role in which you will be required to converse with customers via telephone / email, supporting and reacting to their requirements, following up quotes, sales leads and opportunities. Utilising your technical knowledge and experience you will assist customers to identify the right products for the application and assist with design and specification.
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday – 08:30–17:15 (45-minute lunch break) Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (30-minute lunch break)

Key Duties and Responsibilities
 * Respond to and support customer requirements via phone and email.
 * Proactively follow up sales opportunities and leads via phone and email.
 * Respond to new sales enquiries, customers, and referrals from suppliers.
 * Maintain a friendly and helpful service to trade customers and build relationships with customers and suppliers.
 * Assist customers and colleagues to identify the correct products for the application.
 * Assist with design and specification of sound, lighting, and video systems.
 * Add value to our service where possible and increase sales revenue where possible by up-selling as appropriate.
 * Maintain our sales contact database within scope of role.
 * Support customer after-sales enquiries in liaison with customer service department
 * Focus on both individual and company sales targets.
 * Work as part of a team
 * Visit customer and suppliers as necessary from time to time.
 * Attend on and off-site training from time to time.
Experience / Education Required
 * A good basic level of education (i.e., schooling / further education)
 * Strong degree of knowledge of audio, lighting and / or visual products preferably (but not essentially) in commercial applications
 * Technical experience and preferably qualifications in the field of audio, lighting and visual products
 * Experience and/or desire to work within a busy office environment working closely with your colleagues.
