We are seeking a skilled Setter/Operator to join a world-class precision engineering environment. Working to AS9100 and medical standards, you will be responsible for ensuring high-tech machine assets are running at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest quality of output.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set & Operate: Securely set up and run equipment in line with detailed product operation requirements.
* Quality Control: Perform in-cycle activities including part deburring and gauge checking to ensure zero-defect production.
* Process Improvement: Proactively identify and highlight potential machining method improvements to management.
* Tooling Management: Monitor tool life, replacing broken or damaged tools immediately to prevent downtime.
* Maintenance: Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance to ensure safety and longevity.
Requirements:
* Experience: Proven background as a Setter/Operator within a high-precision engineering environment.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automated machinery, machine tools, and manufacturing H&S.
* Standards: Experience working within ISO9000 or AS9100 quality frameworks (Desirable).
* Qualifications: Level 2 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
* Mindset: A resilient, flexible team player with a “continuous improvement” attitude.
