Since 2016, TBBT has supported over 100,000 people through 145+ community hubs across the North of England. Their mission is simple: make life more affordable, build stronger communities, and reduce food waste.
With an annual income of ~£6m and ambitious plans to scale nationally, TBBT is transforming how surplus food is redistributed.
The Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of TBBT’s operations. Based at the Eccles depot, you’ll manage a small food team and act as the main point of contact for suppliers and logistics partners. You’ll bring structure and calm to a busy environment, ensuring food flows smoothly into the organisation while building strong supplier relationships and embedding a culture of professionalism and care.

What You’ll Do
* Lead and develop the food team
* Manage the sourcing, goods-in, and logistics functions day-to-day
* Coach and support colleagues, embedding clear and respectful communication
* Act as the main operational contact for suppliers, retailers, and hauliers
* Manage onboarding, issue resolution, and performance feedback
* Drive improvements in goods-in processes (labelling, Dynamics integration, data accuracy)
* Identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and waste reduction
* Ensure compliance and traceability with Finance and IT teams
* Represent TBBT externally during supplier visits and sector communications
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in supplier management or food/logistics operations, FMCG
* Comfortable in depot environments and credible with senior stakeholders
* Must be confident working in fast paced environments
* Strong leadership skills — calm, structured, and solutions-focused
Salary and Benefits
* £55,000–£60,000 per annum
* Office-based in Eccles with supplier/site visits as required
