Job summary
Dryland Surgery is a practice based in Kettering with easy access to central town, offering a professional, warm and friendly service to approx 11,500 patients.
As a HCA you will be working with a close-knit team of GPs, nurses and administrative and reception teams.
You will have access to free off-road parking.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Practice Nurse and in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

We have an established team of 3 partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 ANPs and 5 practice nurses, many of whom have worked at the practice for over 5 years, (most have been with us for over 10 years).
We are a mixed team of experienced, long standing staff and newly qualified members, we believe in supporting and developing all our staff to achieve what they want out of their career.

Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being

The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the practice Health & Safety Policy, the practice Health & Safety Manual, and the practice Infection Control policy and published procedures. This will include:
* Using personal security systems within the workplace according to Practice guidelines Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
* Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
* Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
* Actively reporting of health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised
* Keeping own work areas and general / patient areas generally clean, assisting in the maintenance of general standards of cleanliness consistent with the scope of the job holders role
* Undertaking periodic infection control training (minimum annually)
* Reporting potential risks identified
