Field Service Engineer to join our clients busy team in Sheffield. We are looking for reliable, motivated individuals with a positive, can-do attitude who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in their work. Role purpose:
Reporting to the Service Team Leader, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for conducting inspection, servicing, repairs, commissioning and training of our client products on-site at customers premises. You will also be required to oversee the installation of our client products at customer premises. Dimensions: Carry out site visits to customers premises. Complete visit reports. Manage diary to ensure all planned visits are successfully completed. Provide high level of customer service and establish and maintain strong relationships with customers. Key Accountabilities: Attending customer premises to complete servicing of existing equipment or trouble shooting existing equipment and carrying out repairs so the equipment is operational. Undertake administrative duties, such as service/inspection reports. Responsible for maintaining adequate levels of boot stock to ensure customer repairs can be completed within the service level agreement set by the company. Identify new sales opportunities i.e. new equipment, new service agreements and cascade these to the Service Co-Ordinator. Provide customer support by means of product training on specific product lines. Working as part of a wider team to ensure that efficient logistical support can be achieved within the assigned geographical area. Liaise with cross departments and external contractors. Oversee installation of new equipment and provide on-site commissioning. Maintain up to date, detailed knowledge of the product portfolio. Attend on-site product training and keep up to date with any product changes. Adhere to health and safety requirements when undertaking all duties. Ahere to all regulatory requirements i.e. LOLER & PUWER. Manage daily/weekly expenses. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Experience of working in the service industry. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet. Excellent customer service skills. Good mechanical knowledge Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems. Experience of planning work schedules or rotas to maximise efficiency. Ability to work unsupervised. Good communication skills, both verbally and written. Good IT and administration skills with attention to detail. Planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative and motivate a team. Curious with a continuous improvement mindset, seeks opportunities to improve process efficiencies. Special Features: Full UK driving licence is required. Expectation to undertake extensive UK travel. Expectation to work unsocial hours when travelling, including occasional weekend work. Expectation to spend periods of time away from home.
