EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools
Location: Sheffield & Barnsley
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Supply
Start Date: Immediate or Upcoming Term
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in Nursery and Reception classes within welcoming primary schools in Sheffield and Barnsley.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about early years education and supporting young children’s development.
The Role:
* Support the class teacher in delivering play-based learning in line with the EYFS Framework
* Work with small groups or 1:1 to support learning and development
* Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
* Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development
* Assist with observations, assessments, and daily classroom routines
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children in EYFS or a primary setting (desirable)
* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Relevant EYFS or childcare qualifications (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
