Role Summary
To be the internal expert in the Product Information Management (PIM) System for Videndum. Be the one point of contact for all PIM related questions and support needs across the entire Videndum Group.
Work Location: Bury St Edmunds/Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office at Bury St. Edmunds.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
* Product Data Management & Governance
o Manage and maintain product data within the PIM system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment across multiple brands, countries, and channels.
o Design, configure, and maintain product data models including families, attributes, variants, taxonomies, hierarchies, and validation rules.
o Administer data enrichment, approval, and completeness workflows to ensure high data quality and consistency.
o Champion data governance best practices and maintain ownership of data standards, naming conventions, and validation processes.
* PIM Operations & Syndication
o Use and manage Akeneo PIM for product information maintenance and publication.
o Configure syndication templates, map attributes, normalise values, and perform publication checks to ensure accurate data delivery to marketplaces (including Amazon), websites, and retailers.
o Monitor and support data exchange processes including API-based (REST/JSON) integrations, CSV uploads, and SFTP data transfers.
* Integration & Troubleshooting
o Understand and maintain the end-to-end data flow between PIM, ERP, and eCommerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration and synchronisation.
o Perform both onsite and remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and effective questioning to identify root causes.
o Determine and implement appropriate solutions, guiding colleagues through the problem‑solving process and escalating unresolved issues where necessary.
* Support & Collaboration
o Provide accurate information and guidance to colleagues on PIM functionality and best practices.
o Foster self-service resolution and proactively share knowledge to improve team capability.
o Collaborate closely with IT, Product, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to ensure product data supports business needs and customer experience goals.
o Contribute to the execution and continual improvement of internal IT policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., employee onboarding workflows).

Knowledge and Skills
Essential
* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in PIM/MDM or product data management within a multi-brand/country company.
* Strong product data modelling (families, attributes, variants, taxonomies/hierarchies, validation rules, completeness and enrichment/approval workflows) and practical data governance ownership.
* Syndication to marketplaces/websites/retailers: template configuration, attribute mapping, value normalization publication checks.
* Performing onsite and remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and asking pertinent questions.
* Integration knowledge: understand of end-to-end data flows between PIM and ERP and website/ecommerce.
* Data exchange awareness: API docs, simple REST/JSON calls, manage CSV /SFTP exchanges.
* Determining the best solution based on the details provided of the issue and assist colleagues through the problem-solving process.
* Foster self-service resolution in colleagues and elevate unresolved issues to the next level of IT support.
* Provide colleagues with accurate information on PIM and offer feedback on outstanding tickets.
* Execute and have input into internal IT related polices, processes and procedures (for example employee on-boarding workflow).
* Acting as a champion for the importance of customer experience within the business.

* Proven technical ability, through relevant, demonstrable, technical qualifications e.g. PIM/MDM. Use initiative to ensure that high importance deadlines and SLAs are met.
* Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to produce clear and accurate documentation (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desirable
* Experience with Akeneo PIM preferred.
* Experience integrating with DAM/website (metadata, rendition).
* Basics of security and access management.
* Manufacturing context understanding (item/variant, bundle, BOM) and content localization process.
* Willingness to travel, as required, to other Videndum offices and remote sites for the purpose of onsite support.
* Some understanding of Salesforce CRM administration would be beneficial to trouble shoot integration problems.
Education and Qualifications
* GCSE English and Maths – Grade C or above.
* Certification with a PIM Solution, ideally Akeneo desirable.
