My client is an international specialist advanced manufacturing business and they are now looking to recruit a commercially astute and technically sound Management Accountant to join the growing team This is a highly varied role reporting directly to the Group FD and you will be responsible for analysing, monitoring and reporting on internal financial data to support business decision-making, planning and performance management. Key Responsibilities: Cost Accounting & Analysis • Maintain accurate cost accounting records across multiple production units and service streams. • Analyse material, labour and overhead costs, identify variances and investigate root cause. • Prepare cost models for new and existing products. • Conduct regular cost audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards. Budgeting & Forecasting • Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets and financial forecasts. Reporting and Analysis • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and detailed profit and loss reports. • Prepare monthly consolidation Variance Analysis • Compare actual costs against budgets, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective action.
