Role Overview:
As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering well-structured and stimulating lessons across Key Stages, inspiring curiosity about the natural and human world. You will support students in developing analytical skills, geographical knowledge, and a sense of global citizenship.
Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher:
* Teach Geography across Key Stages in line with the national curriculum.
* Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and informative lessons.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with varying learning needs.
* Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and school-wide activities.
* Promote an understanding of environmental and societal issues through your teaching.
Requirements for the Geography Teacher role:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
* Experience teaching Geography in a UK school setting.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* A passion for inspiring students and making geography meaningful.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
