Overview
Astute’s Renewable Energy team is partnering with a leading business who own and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. We are looking to recruit a Feedstock Development Manager, ideally located in the Yorkshire area, to source sustainable materials for new and existing plants.
The vital Feedstock Development Manager role comes with a very competitive salary (depending on experience), a performance related bonus and additional benefits package.
Responsibilities
* Procure crop and waste feedstocks for our biomethane plants in the Northeast of the UK
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
* Negotiate contracts and manage supply agreements
* Analyse market trends and identify new feedstock opportunities
* Collaborate with the feedstock team to optimize procurement strategies
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and sustainability requirements
* Monitor and report on feedstock inventory and supply chain performance
* Other duties as required
Professional Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or related field
* A full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Personal skills
* 3+ years of experience in feedstock procurement or similar role in the renewable energy sector
* Strong knowledge of agricultural and waste management industries
* Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with sustainability practices and renewable energy regulations
