A leading Legal 500 law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Partner or Legal Director to take on a key leadership role within its Dispute Resolution team in Shropshire.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced disputes specialist to step into a senior position with real autonomy to shape, grow, and develop a department over the coming years across multiple office locations.
You will be joining an established Dispute Resolution team, This is a genuine platform to build something significant within a highly respected national practice.
The role offers a blend of leadership, strategic input, and hands-on fee earning, with strong backing from the wider firm.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing the Commercial Litigation / Dispute Resolution team
* Managing and growing key client relationships
* Handling a varied caseload of high-value commercial disputes
* Working collaboratively with other departments to maximise cross-referral opportunities
* Contributing to and delivering the firm’s wider strategic growth plans
* Mentoring, developing, and motivating team members
* Playing a central role in shaping the long-term direction of the department

About you:
* Experienced Commercial Litigation / Dispute Resolution solicitor
* Strong technical expertise across contractual and tortious disputes
* Proven leadership and team management experience
* Strong knowledge of court processes and ADR
* Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder skills
* Proven ability to mentor and grow high-performing teams
