[Junior Compliance Engineer]
STS Aviation Services is hiring Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics in Birmingham, United Kingdom. You will support modifications, heavy maintenance, and structural repairs across a variety of aircraft platforms while working within an experienced, safety-driven team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Carry out modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved drawings and maintenance data, taking full accountability for the technical integrity of all work performed
* Complete strip and removal of major structural aircraft equipment
* Interpret technical manuals, technical drawings, and regulatory requirements
* Install complex structural assemblies
* Work to fine tolerances and consistently high standards
* Use sealants, fasteners, and bonding techniques as required
* Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment
* Provide regular updates on any issues affecting the work plan, including proposed solutions where applicable
* Report unsafe conditions to the Lead Technician or B1 Engineer and through internal reporting channels
Skills and Abilities
* Completed an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or military equivalent
* Ideally two years of live aircraft sheet metal or structural experience
* Previous aircraft production experience
* Previous aircraft modification experience is advantageous
* Excellent hand skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Eligible to work and live in the United Kingdom
* Subject to UK Security Vetting
* Excellent knowledge of airframes
* Reliability and adaptability
* Good interpersonal skills
