About the Role We’re looking for a Catering & Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team at Chirk Court, a residential care home in Wrexham. You’ll play an important part in making sure our residents enjoy nutritious meals and a clean, welcoming environment. This is a varied role combining kitchen support, serving meals, and domestic duties – perfect for someone who takes pride in good service and enjoys helping others. We’re happy to consider candidates with different availability patterns, as long as you’re able to work across weekdays and weekends. Most shifts typically fall between 1:30pm and 6:30pm. You will be working withn an award winning team that has recieved the following recognition Royal Recognition for Sensory Garden : In late 2025, Chirk Court's new sensory garden received a letter of commendation from Buckingham Palace on behalf of King Charles III for its design and positive impact on residents, particularly those living with dementia. What You’ll Be Doing Assisting with food preparation and serving meals Supporting residents’ dietary needs and preferences Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and communal areas Carrying out general domestic duties such as cleaning and hoovering Working as part of a supportive catering team Is This Role Right for You? Essential: Experience delivering good customer service Basic literacy and numeracy skills Ability to carry out cleaning and domestic duties Desirable: Previous catering experience in a catering role You’ll be reliable, organised, and happy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Good communication, teamwork and attention to detail are key.
