Your Training Contract
Training Contract
2 Years (2027 Intake) – Full time (Mon-Fri, 9:00-17.30)
At Capital Law, we offer all the legal services a trading organisation needs, working nationally and internationally. We partner with businesses of all sizes – from ambitious start-ups to global corporations – across the private, public, and third sectors.
Our firm is built on the strength of our people. We’re a team of leading lawyers and consultants who work closely with clients to provide the best possible support. Our mission is simple: to help others succeed.
What can you expect?
During your training contract, you’ll rotate through four six-month seats across different practice areas, giving you a well-rounded experience and the opportunity to discover where your passion lies. You’ll gain hands-on experience working on complex cases and projects, supported by a dedicated mentor and supervisor in each seat. Your rotations may include areas such as:
* Corporate & Debt
* Commercial & Regulatory
* Employment & Immigration
While we try to accommodate your preferences, seat allocation is determined by business needs and availability.
Alongside your day-to-day work, you’ll participate in workshops, group activities, presentations, and networking events, helping you build strong relationships across the firm. You’ll also develop key skills through tailored training sessions and engage with colleagues at all levels.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from:
* Final-year students
* LPC graduates
* Candidates on the SQE route
If you’re applying via the LPC or SQE route, you must have passed the LPC or SQE1 before the start of your training contract.
If you’re looking for a training contract that offers diverse experiences and values your ideas, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered. If successful, you’ll need to be living within a commutable distance of our Cardiff office (CF10 4AZ) by the time your training contract begins.
Please note that our recruitment team is currently reviewing applications. Due to the high volume we receive, it may be that you don’t hear back until after the closing date.
The assessment centre is provisionally scheduled for 10th and 11th March 2026, though these dates may be subject to change.
The deadline for applications is midnight on 1st December 2025. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
