Finance Integrations Team Leader Job Description Kids Planet Day Nurseries provides the highest standard of nursery care and education in each of our 280 settings within a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and interact with others. Kids Planet Day Nurseries is a rapidly growing nursery group, meaning we are continually expanding our Finance team. We are currently looking for a Finance Integrations Team Leader to join our Integrations team. The role of the Finance Integrations Team Leader is to manage, lead and support a team responsible for the billing, collections, funding and financial onboarding of newly acquired nurseries into Kids Planet. The Team Leader will oversee the sales ledger and debt position of new acquisitions, ensuring billing accuracy, compliance, and a smooth transition into Kids Planet systems and processes. The successful candidate will support the Integrations Manager, act as a point of escalation for complex queries, and be accountable for delivering high‑quality outputs through the team. They may also be required, in the absence of the Integrations Manager, to assist and advise on financial due diligence activity for nurseries in the process of being acquired, providing support through the review of billing, funding and data‑related information. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Manage and lead the Integrations Billing & Collections team, ensuring workloads are appropriately allocated and all deadlines are met. Support the Integrations Manager and undertake management responsibilities in their absence where required. Support the Integrations Manager in managing integration complexity, including differing acquisition types, nursery systems, and funding models, and advising on the most appropriate integration approach. Oversee the onboarding of newly acquired nurseries, ensuring they are smoothly integrated into Kids Planet billing, collections, and funding systems. Ensure effective liaison with Local Authorities to set up funding arrangements for new acquisitions, ensuring all relevant documentation and submissions are completed accurately and on time. Oversee the coordination, input and transfer of children’s records onto Kids Planet systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and resolution of discrepancies. Ensure historic data from previous owners, including fees and funding, is accurately analysed and adapted into Kids Planet systems. Have overall responsibility for the completion and distribution of invoices in line with completion deadlines. Ensure Kids Planet debt policies and procedures are implemented consistently across all new acquisitions. Act as escalation point for complex invoice, funding, and parent queries, supporting the team in achieving appropriate resolutions. Oversee the entry of opening balances and deposits as part of the acquisition process. Oversee changes to banking arrangements for new acquisitions, working closely with Accounts Receivable where required. Ensure payments from external agencies continue to be claimed and transitioned seamlessly. Ensure reconciliation of allocated nurseries’ funding from Local Authorities is completed accurately and within deadlines. Manage team performance, including holidays, sickness, performance reviews and one‑to‑one meetings, escalating concerns to the Integrations Manager as appropriate. Support the recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members, and the ongoing development of existing staff. Deliver training to acquisitions and internal stakeholders surrounding billing, debt and funding processes where required. Ensure systems and records relating to integrations are kept accurate, complete, and up to date. Provide cover and support across the wider Integrations function as required. Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role. The ideal applicant will possess: Previous experience working within a finance, billing, collections or credit control environment. Experience leading, supervising or training team members. A good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret complex and unfamiliar data sets. Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail. Confident communication and decision‑making skills. Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
