A leading organisation in the plant hire and equipment solutions sector is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join their dynamic support team. With a strong focus on service excellence and continuous improvement, this business supports a wide range of sectors across the UK, delivering equipment and services with efficiency and precision. The Role This is a varied and fast-paced position providing support across administration, hire, and service functions within the Customer Care Centre. The role plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction, operational accuracy, and smooth communication across departments. Key Responsibilities * Ensure all breakdowns are logged with accurate details * Maintain 100% accuracy on contracts, off-hires, and exchanges * Process suspensions in a timely and accurate manner * Carry out daily contract checks to ensure compliance * Liaise with buyers for valid PO numbers and site contacts * Manage job statuses, import job cards and invoices using hire software * Track and update third-party job progress * Issue purchase orders to suppliers and manage recharges * Coordinate parts and sales orders to site * Maintain up-to-date documentation * Provide admin support to the rehire and operator coordination teams * Deliver high levels of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders * Support team members and perform ad-hoc tasks as required * Proactively identify and maximise business opportunities About You Essential Skills & Experience: * Strong spoken and written communication skills * GCSE Grade C or above in English Language (or equivalent) * Previous customer service experience essential * Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure * A proactive, positive attitude with the flexibility to adapt to business needs * Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills * Prior knowledge or experience in the plant hire or construction equipment industry is advantageous but not essential
