Our Client based in Cleckheaton BD19 is looking for PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT to join their busy team.
This is a temporary to permanent position after 12 weeks of probationary period.
Pay rate is £14 per hour.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8.00am-5pm
Key Responsibilities
* Purchase Order & Data Management
* Update systems with order confirmations, ensuring pricing and order details are accurate.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies between quoted and confirmed costs.
* Maintain procurement data using supplier updates and internal trackers.
* Raise and manage internal purchase requests for laboratory, manufacturing and quality control requirements.
* Support housekeeping activities such as closing completed orders and maintaining accurate stock records.
* Logistics & Delivery Coordination
* Coordinate inbound shipments from UK and international suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
* Maintain shipment tracking information and provide visibility of delivery timelines.
* Book deliveries with warehouse teams, confirming capacity and documentation requirements.
* Supplier & Delivery Follow-Up
* Chase order confirmations, shipment dates and overdue deliveries.
* Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, including shortages, over-deliveries or damaged goods.
* Support resolution of invoice queries with suppliers and internal teams.
* Operational Support & Reporting
* Provide regular updates and reports on order status, delivery timelines and supply risks.
* Support cross-functional teams with procurement activities for new product launches and ongoing projects.
* Contribute to improving processes and ways of working within procurement.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in a procurement, supply chain, buying or logistics administration role (manufacturing or FMCG environment preferred).
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data accurately.
* Experience supporting purchase orders, deliveries and supplier communication.
* Confident using ERP or business systems and Microsoft Excel (intermediate level desirable).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Clear communicator with a proactive and collaborative approach.
* Methodical and resilient, able to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
