Job Description
I am looking for a reliable and efficient Housekeeper / Personal Assistant to support me in maintaining a clean, organised and well‑functioning home. I live in Vauxhall and am a disabled mother managing a chronic health condition. The position involves domestic support, light personal care, and occasional local errands.
Roles and Responsibilities
* General cleaning (kitchen, bathroom, living areas, floors)
* Laundry, ironing and folding
* Changing bed linen and making beds
* Keeping household areas organised and clutter‑free
* Preparing light meals or snacks
* Assisting with getting dressed or changing clothes on difficult days
* Occasional errands to local amenities (groceries, chemist, post office)
* Light household management (e.g., accepting deliveries, restocking supplies)
Specific Requirements (Experience / Qualifications)
* Experience in housekeeping, domestic work, or similar roles
* Must be eligible to work in the UK
* Comfortable around cats – I have two friendly cats
* Respectful, discreet, and able to take initiative
* Capable of working independently and following household routines
* Fluent in English
* Enhanced DBS required (or willing to apply for one)
Transport
No driving required. You should be comfortable walking to local shops and amenities for errands.
Pets
Two cats. Applicants must be comfortable with animals.
About You
I’m a single mother and disabled woman living in Vauxhall. I’m independent, but due to mobility challenges and fatigue, I need regular support with domestic tasks, occasional errands, and some light personal care. I live in a calm, tidy home and appreciate someone who is warm, efficient, and respectful of space and privacy. This role does not involve childcare or business support — it’s strictly about home and personal care.
