Manchester
Asda Stores Ltd.

Offer description

Overview

About the Role: To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, which brings a wide variety of shift patterns. Weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern. Our in-store Pharmacies are popular with customers and require warmth and friendliness, with confidence to discuss personal health issues, quickly resolve customer problems, and direct customers to the right products. You will be responsible for assembling and processing prescriptions accurately. You will drive awareness of the extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Reviews). You will support the Pharmacist with the delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes, etc.). You will develop an understanding of the strict Standard Operating Procedures and work to them as customers expect nothing less. You will also collect the customer’s prescription from their doctor’s surgery on their behalf and bring it to the store for collection. We will help you become a star Pharmacy colleague by completing an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, then training as a Dispensing Assistant to continue your pharmacy training.

About You

You’ll be naturally friendly, highly organised and eager to contribute as part of a team. You have good computer skills, attention to detail, and you communicate well with customers.
