The Client - Investment Firm (via Tempest Vane Partners)
We’re partnering with a globally recognised, technology-driven investment firm to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help design and automate large-scale hybrid infrastructure across Windows and cloud environments.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on automation, reliability, and platform scalability, not ticket-based support.
What you’ll work on
You’ll be responsible for designing and improving core infrastructure systems that support large-scale, data-intensive workloads:
* Build and evolve Windows-based infrastructure (Active Directory, core services, enterprise systems)
* Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar)
* Automate operational processes and reduce manual workload
* Support and expand Azure and AWS cloud environments
* Improve system performance, reliability, and observability
* Work closely with engineers and traders on high-performance systems
What we’re looking for:
You don’t need to tick every box, but strong experience in several of the following is important:
* Strong scripting/coding ability (PowerShell, Python, Go, or Shell)
* Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
* Strong Windows infrastructure knowledge (Active Directory, Windows Server, enterprise environments)
* Understanding of storage, virtualisation, and distributed systems
* Experience with AWS and/or Azure
* Exposure to monitoring, logging, and observability tooling
* A mindset focused on automation, ownership, and continuous improvement
