We are on the lookout for a Fleet Technical Support Executive to join our Distribution and Fulfilment team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The Dotcom Fleet Team, part of Tesco Fulfilment and the wider Distribution Fleet function, manages all Tesco.com home delivery vehicles across the UK and ROI. Their role ensures vehicles are safe, legal, available, and maintained to the standards required to support a seamless grocery home‑delivery service. As part of Tesco’s fast‑growing online Customer Fulfilment operation, the team contributes directly to delivering an excellent end‑to‑end customer experience — from the moment an order is placed to the doorstep handover. They work closely with Supply Chain to ensure vehicles are correctly specified, manufactured, delivered on time, and responsibly decommissioned at end‑of‑life. The team also partners with Driver Safety and Compliance to ensure stores have the right tools and support to deliver customer orders effectively. Audit vehicle processes to ensure legal compliance, while reviewing and approving all van damage costs — including challenging charges, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective repairs. Analyse trends such as VOR, defects, EV charging sessions, and common damage items to identify cost‑reduction and improvement opportunities, feeding insights back to manufacturers and internal teams. Manage key operational processes including silver parts, Lightfoot accounts, store queries, and EO portal activities (training, user/vehicle/RFID management, troubleshooting). Work closely with DSCMs, Leads, repairers, and maintenance suppliers through weekly VOR reviews, investigation discussions, and training on R2C repair codes. Support the development and rollout of new processes for stores, suppliers, and the India team, while contributing to ad‑hoc operational projects as needed. Working knowledge of commercial vehicles, including parts costs and standard repair times. Experience in commercial body repairs. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with the R2C fleet management system (advantageous but not essential). Strong organisational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced operational office environment. Excellent team player. Good negotiation skills. Flexible, responsive, and able to plan and organise effectively. Ability to build strong and effective working relationships.
