About the role
Working as part of the Infrastructure Team, you’ll combine project‑based delivery with 2nd and 3rd line support, helping to enhance and operate a large, complex, and business‑critical hybrid infrastructure estate covering compute, storage, virtualisation, containers and cloud services. This is an opportunity to work hands‑on with enterprise‑scale on‑prem and AWS cloud platforms, influence technical direction, and contribute to continuous improvement across Jet2’s infrastructure services.
Responsibilities

* Administer and support Kubernetes platforms, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, security and integration with underlying infrastructure.
* Operate, maintain and optimise AWS environments, ensuring delivery is in line with security, resilience and availability best practices, as well as cost‑effective operation.
* Design and support infrastructure with appropriate availability, resilience and disaster recovery considerations to meet business and operational requirements.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure incidents, including cloud‑related issues, escalating where appropriate to senior engineers or third‑party vendors.
* Provide technical guidance, mentoring and knowledge‑sharing to IT Operations and other technology teams, contributing to improved standards and ways of working.
* Create and maintain clear, accurate documentation, including infrastructure designs, configurations, standards, policies and operating procedures.
* Support and develop automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code approaches across on‑prem and cloud platforms to improve consistency, reliability and efficiency.
* Participate in the on‑call rota (minimum of 1 in 4) and support planned out‑of‑hours work when required.
Qualifications
* Strong experience administering Windows Server, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
* Experience supporting Linux servers (Red Hat and Oracle).
* Hands‑on experience administering Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
* Strong operational experience with Microsoft tooling, including SCOM, SCCM, DPM, WSUS, Intune and Microsoft Defender.
* Practical experience supporting AWS public cloud infrastructure (IaaS), including core compute, storage and networking concepts.
* A solid understanding of patch management, vulnerability management and security best practices across hybrid infrastructure environments.
Benefits
* Hybrid working (office 2 days per week).
* Annual pay reviews.
* 26 days holiday plus bank holidays.
